Spotlight on the RBAC Comms Team!
As many of you have probably noticed, RBAC has been growing and transforming quite a bit over the last decade!
This time we want to put a spotlight on our Communications Team! The RBAC Comms Team was formed back in February to get any and all of the young adult staff involved in the process of planning, creating, and distributing information to the neighborhood through our various social media channels. Since then, we’ve had a consistent team of 8 amazing young adults (under 24 years old) working on flyers, graphics, videos, and podcasts.
If you’ve seen any RBAC flyers or posters in the streets, reels on Instagram, or listened to an episode of the RBACast, you’re observing the work of some talented young Rainier Beach residents!
As an organization that prides itself on training up young folx to lead the work we’re doing, we’re very proud to say that almost all RBAC Communications to the neighborhood come from those young folx! Many of them have already been gaining valuable experience and training in program planning and facilitation in the realms of food justice, education, economic development, and public safety, and now they’re skill-building in the world of graphic design and production!
