Safe Place to Be

I been in the community since ‘06 ain’t worry bout a thing 

Turn right on Hendo 

Jack in the Box after school, 

Taco Bell, KFC, and Safeway 

Chicken tenders okayyy, they comin my way 

Rainier Beach is a safe place to be 

But there is a lot of things we need to change in our community 

Trash I don’t want to walk near that

Dunkin Donuts ain’t a dumpster 

Trust me I know buster 

Food desert I don’t know how my single my moms be, 

Thinking about what their child’s next meal should be 

Cop standing in the corner looking for some trouble trying to take a black person’s  soul 

NOT ON MY WATCH

Rainier Beach is a safe place to be

Puts us in a position to be leaders 

In addition, the proper determination to do better cuz we know better 

There is no I in WE 

The powers that be 

Want to chastise me 

But we won’t let them

Because we have unity
