Langston Hughes Musical Wake Up!
The first Musical since Langston Hughes has been rebuilt was “Wake Up”. This Musicalwas about social issues, racism, religious views, and about changing your life.
The last Musical I was in with Langston Hughes was Bobos when I was in the 7th grade and since then it has been closed down for rebuilding and many people that have worked their were let go from there jobs. My experience with Langston Hughes this year was very stressful, exciting , and confusing. It wasnt the same as pervious years because there are new directors. It was an uncomfortable situation trying a new directors point of view. This year Langston came up with an idea of having a cast write there own play. This idea was a way of showing that youth had a voice.

Some teens from previous Musiclas from Langston Hughes did not like Wake Up at all because they felt like it didnt have a message, plus they have been in Langston Hughes so long they know what to expect and what not to expect.
