Rainier Beach Dance Team

Rainier Beach High School has a new dance team known as “The Vikettes.” They’re a majorette dance team who gave us a sneak peak at the Homecoming Rally and debuted with a full performance at the Homecoming Game against Garfield on Saturday October 17, 2015. The girls practice Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday for regular practice and everyday the week of an assembly. Sophomore Jamazia tells us, ” Joining the dance team gave me a way to be active with something that I enjoy doing and it was a fun way to meet new girls.” Something the girls I interviewed wanted everybody to know was they will be having tryouts December 4th and they want more people to come tryout and have fun.
