Basketball dreams
This photo was taken at Othello Park. The day this photo was taken was 7\20\11. This photo is picture of a basketball hoop. I want to share this photo because most of the kids in the Rainier Beach neighborhood play basketball. This photo represents to me that kids who really want to make it will do well in school and keep practicing to develop their skills. I think a basketball hoop helps kids in the rainier beach area learn to be successful by letting them practice on the hoop and it tells them that you need to work hard to get where you want to be.

Believe it or not
This photo was taken at urban impact. The date this photo was taken is 7\25\11. It’s a picture of my dad standing in front of a painting that looks real. I wanted to show this photo because it shows that not all the people in the rainier beach community are involved in making the community look bad. This photo represents to me that the people in the Rainier Beach community are so good at art that it looks like a real graffiti wall. I think that this photo Helps kids learn to successful by letting kids know that if you do good art then you can get a good job. Also you will be able to make your paintings or drawing better by what the people in your community say.

Small big difference

I want to share this photo because I think he’s a inspiration to the youth in the Rainier Beach area. This photo represents to me that you don’t have to be tall to make a big difference. I think this photo helps kids be successful by letting kids know that even if you are small you can still make a big difference.

Black and white together
This photo was taken inside the Rainier Beach school. The date this photo was taken was 7\18\11. This photo has black and white people shaking hands. I wanted to share this photo because it expresses what Malcolm x and Martin Luther King Jr. wanted and is what they fought for. This represents blacks and whites working together and becoming friends not enemies. I think that this photo helps kids in the rainier beach community that you should like some no matter what they look like or what their skin color is.
